For optimal health, energy, and performance, one shifts through these different intensities like the gears in a car. Each of these gears can relatively easily be trained. The first step is to notice if you are missing a gear.
Excitability
Some people tend to be overwhelmed while others might tend to be bored. We are all capable of being very perceptive like a high resolution camera, which is why certain critical events are remembered in slow motion. We all this quality excitability input and you can rate yourself high or low. It should be high at times and low at times. It might be super high during a performance or work, then very low. Try to describe in one sentence this quality of excitability input.
Excitability output is basically how strong or explosive you are physically. People with high excitability input might use weight lifting as an outlet which illustrates the fact that when your brain is flooded with information the person will look for some activity to modulate. If you are capable. for example, of pushing some weight as hard as you can, your excitability output is good. If you have not done any heavy work for several years, your excitability output is low.
Endurance
Prolonged mildly intense non painful and non analytical physical activity puts your body into a specific physiology in which pain memories are erased with endorphins at the same time the things on your mind are processed from an idealistic lens. If you are able to get in this state with exercise you have access to this physiology. If not you don’t. There are also some people who rely on this physiology and that is always because one of the other physiologies are very weak.
Focus
If you can focus on one thing at a time, you possess this physiology on one level but you should consider this on a slightly deeper level. A person with high excitability input is very good at seeing new patterns and being open minded which is the first quality for your entire physiology to work. However, that vague open-mindedness has to be translated into something more specific. Most of that happens during down time, and endurance is a very intense way of narrowing down some vague idea into something more specific. At some point, you have something very specific to do in the context of something you realized during the first two states. In other words, it is just just that you are able to focus. You have to be able to determine the important thing you need to focus on. You should be able to do some specific work for a couple hours at a time.
Posture
Posture is your ability to we awake without resorting to any of the above mentioned intensities. It is very likely that lack of feeling awake is the source of you wanting to use the other physiologies, all of which will make you feel more alert. Unfortunately, reliance on them without posture ironically insures a lot of fatigue. The difference is that your posture physiology is designed to function for 12 hours, and after being used for 12 hours, triggers sleep. The other physiologies have their own periods that they can function.
